MONSIEUR NOV -TROP FRESH (OFFICIEL VIDEO) (via monsieurnov) What do you do when you love R&B but start getting sick of the same voices and songs? Change the language. Pretty awesome stuff.
And after months of creative brainstorming and market research, clementi’s new mall has been named… wait for it… The Clementi Mall.
New motorist, not-so-new blogger
I thought passing my driving test today was as good an excuse as any to start blogging again. Tumblr is such a far cry from Geocities that I don’t think even my blogging style will be the same, and in a way I guess that’s what I’m going for. I think it’s been three years or so… but I’ve decided to keep the last name. ‘Calculated Art’ was born out of the conflict between my passion for performing arts and my pure-science studies back in pre-U, and I thought it fit kinda nicely with my new journey as an industrial design student. This was my third try, as ironically least hopeful. Thing is, I’d become so accustomed to that sinking feeling of leaving BBDC a failure that I don’t think I ever really anticipated how intensely wonderful the pleasure of passing would feel. I’ve been detached from schoolwork and my social life all week just worrying about the test. At that moment, with the tester telling me my “driving was OK, and the mistakes are minor”, everything just fell into place: my love for cars, my far-reaching independence, my frustration with buses… It doesn’t matter that I don’t actually have a car, or that the COE is so ridiculously stratospheric right now that it’s gonna be quite a while until we own one again. I’ve cleared a hurdle in life and that’s that. I honestly couldn’t have done it without the support (and money) from my Dad, Mom, sister, brother and girlfriend. I love you all so much and promise to let my new driving licence help you all out at some point or another (and another, and another). Cheers. |
